God Out
First let me apologize for running late this
Sunday. Last night when I came home from a two day benefit I took on a
little sore throat and fever. It was one of those bone shaking fevers.
I shook so hard my teeth rattled. No, really my teeth were in my pocket
and they started chattering so fast I thought they were speaking in
tongues. Perhaps the worst of that is over.
Last week the call came out again for prayer for
Gen. Laney's father. You all answered the call and God answered. Gen.
Laney has told me to make sure that everyone of you knows how much he
appreciates your prayers.
This year we have spent a lot of time praying for
one another and God has been Johnny on the spot. We must remember these
times for each of us do have a destiny which includes leaving this world
and standing before him to give account for the things we have done.
Heb.9:27
Many people simply do not believe in God, to me
that's a sad life. No one all powerful to turn to or lend on in a time
of need. There are several reasons for it. They look at the injustice of
the world and think God should straighten it out. 1st they fail to
realize that's what judgment is about God is going to straighten it out.
2ndly if God went about straighten every thing out each day we wouldn't
be free to make choices. We would simply be puppets on a string.
Never follow these examples for Gal.6:7 says" be
not deceived God is not mocked" John Lennon famous Beatle was quoted in
American Magazine “Christianity will end, it will disappear. I do not
have to argue about that. I am certain Jesus was ok, but his subjects
were too simple, today we are more famous than him" 1966 Later John was
shot 6 times.
One Tancredo Neves President of Brazil Said during
a campaign "if he got 500000 votes not even God would remove him from
office he got his vote but got sick and died the day before he took
office.
Cazuza (bi-sexual composer, singer and poet While
smoking his cigarette, he puffed out some smoke into the air and said
God, that's for you" He died at the age of 32 from AIDS in a horrible
manner.
The man who built the Titanic when asked about the
ship's safety said with an ironic tone "not even God can sink it" You
know the results.
The lists goes on and on my brothers always seeks
God’s favor and in difficult times call someone whose faith is strong
and listen not to the fools who think the preaching of gospel is
foolishness Chaplain Tex out here
