Reunion 2007 - Kalispell, Montana
Great times in Montana - Fun, Friendship & Fish
The Speer Family hosted our 2007 Reunion
in Whitefish, Montana at the Speer Mountain Ranch and Resort. The
Congoleese took side trips to Glacier National Park, engaged in white water
rafting, hiking, boating and fishing. We ate like Kings and Queens
feasting on wild huckleberry pancakes and venison steaks treated with the
miraculous Johnny Seasoning. We ate at one of the finest steak houses I
have ever enjoyed. The weather was beautiful and so was the scenery.
Alan Price proposed his undying love and
fealty to his fiancée Mary on the Continental Divide. I made a new best
friend when I was introduced to Glen Speer and I am am proud to welcome him to
the Corps. We meet three generations of Speers and four generations of the
great ladies of Jennifer's family. Mark Kramer brought his nephew and he
was quickly adopted as "Corporal of the Corps". The two Steve Prices
(father and son) did a little cliff-diving and it dramatic to watch. Becky
Kramer, Demo Deb Price and Jennifer Speer prepared some of the best breakfasts
that anyone could ever enjoy!
Johnny Eddins suffered a heart attack just
prior to his departure for the Reunion, so he was unable to attend. Tex,
Ev and Jessie Eddins were en-route to Montana and had to rush back to Texas to
be at Johnny's side. Thankfully, our prayers were answered and Johnny is
doing well and still hunting and fishing. The Kramer family and Curt Hulsey made
their first appearance at a Congoleese Reunion and our family seems to grow
daily. I can't wait till we gather again in Lake Wateree, SC.
